I haven’t had a lot of contact with Victoria since highschool, so I was excited when she emailed to see if I could do their upcomming wedding in October. Her and Josh are so in love, it really showed. Victoria has such a big heart and you can tell by the way she smiles with her whole being. I could really tell that Josh is so taken with her, they moved together before I even had to ask. It was fantastic. I look forward to capturing their wedding in October and spending more time with this couple. Thanks guys for a great afternoon!
September Mini-Sessions!
I’ve decided to change my mini-sessions up a bit. Instead of booking all of them on the same day, I am going to make September Mini-Session month! Any sessions (excludes seniors-please contact for current senior specials) held during the month of September will apply to the offer. Please book soon, as I anticipate this month filling up fast! Call or email to schedule your mini-session! I look forward to working with past and new clients, so tell you friends!
Victoria+Josh|Sneak peek
Just a little preview of what’s to come of these two! They are getting married in October and we just headed out to do there e-session. I’ll do a full blog post soon about this cute couple! Until then, I hope you like your little sneak preview guys!
Kristin+Justin|Married
Kristin and Justin got married on the last Saturday of July. The forcast called for rain and it looked iffy for a little while, but the day turned out to be simply perfect. It was great weather and a beautiful affair.
Kristin and I had discussed a few places to go for pictures post-ceremony, but due to time constraints our plans changed last minute. However, we rolled with the punches and I think that it worked out great and we got some great stuff at the new location! I’m still finishing up their big day, but I know that the newlyweds (along with their family and friends) have been anxious to see some of them so I decided to go ahead and blog a little for you in the meantime. I had quite a few favorites this time, so it’s hard to narrow it down. Hope you guys like them! I’m excited to have been able to celebrate the beginning of your forever. I know you will have a great marriage!
Olivia|Senior

Olivia & Olivia | Sneak peek
I have had the pleasure of photographing two lovely ladies this week, and both are named Olivia! But both sessions were very different:) Here’s just a taste of what’s to come … A full post for each of them will come soon! Hope you girls like your previews…
Rachel|Belly
Rachel is a friend I’ve had for as long as I can remember. In our younger years, she lived up the road and now there are many states between us. But Rachel and I have that kind of friendship where no matter how long it’s been since we last talked on the phone or saw each other, when we do take the time out of our busy lives to catch up, it feels like we just talked yesterday. Everyone needs a friend like that. I’m thankful to have her in her life and to share the joy of her journey into motherhood.
She is in town for a short visit, so we took a little time out to document this huge milestone in her life. I know most people wait until they are in their final months and in full-bump status, but it’s not neccesary. Being pregnant is such an amazing journey, no matter how big or small your belly may be, I encourage you to get some pictures taken. Someday down the road when things are chaotic, when the kids are running around and you are ready to pull your hair out, when you feel like your body will never be as fantastic as it was pre-baby, you will pull out these types of photo’s and say “Hey, I looked fantastic, and happy and peaceful!”. So here’s a little of Rachel in her soon-to-be mommy happiness.

An overdue session…
Thanks to the awesome Kerri B, who I just adore as both a friend, a fellow mom to 3 crazies herself, and as a huge support in my photography world, my family has updated pictures!
As a photographer, I tend to neglect taking images of my own family, which is horrible and really, quite in-excusable. They are the reason I DO this and I need to remember to capture our memories along with everyone elses. I took a few quick ones in the studio around Thanksgiving, but it’s a lot different setting up a quick shoot yourself with a timer than it is going to an awesome photographer and letting her have her way with you… ha!
I’m goin to make it a goal to get family pictures done EVERY year, take more pictures of our activities as a family, and to just document OUR life too. When I looked through these, I was just in awe. My babies are not such babies anymore. This is so bittersweet! They are losing those chubby cheeked faces, but gaining so much. I’ll tell you a little bit about where the kids are all at right now, since I have your attention and all, I figure I can brag a bit!
Nathan, well… he’s definitely growing up. He just had his 7th birthday. His curiosity is constant and he thrives with lots of activities. He is starting to figure out which sports he likes best, which is fun to watch. Give that kid a pen and paper though, and be prepared to be blown away with amazing stories, comics, and artwork. He’s got the artsy side, which I absolutely adore! He is now swimming, not quite a pro, but I don’t have to fear about what would happen if he fell in a pool…which is a huge relief to a mama! He changes daily, from the way he talks and acts, dresses and especially the way he eats! I’m in trouble when he’s a teen…:) For now, I’m enjoying my new 2nd grader:)
Ava, my little 5yo animal activist. I swear, you put the girl in a field with grass 5ft tall and she will find you the smallest creature/bug. From catching birds in the yard (not recommended!), or bunnies, the girl is crazy! She loves frogs, she delights in finding the small little baby frogs all the way up to the huge toads. I, personally, do not understand this, since you couldn’t pay me enough to pick one up! But, that’s my Ava. Always wanting a new puppy or kitty, or hamster, pretty much anything that breaths and cuddles-she wants it. She will be entering kindergarten this fall and will be entering a reader:) I’m very proud of this, I’m a huge reader so it’s nice to have two kids that are such avid readers already, I’m sure Jocelyn will join the ranks soon. She, like her big brother, learned to swim this year too. It’s crazy to watch them swim without floaties, I think I may have been delusional when I thought I could keep them safe in life jackets til they were teens, haha! Lets see, she’s still a pre-madonna, needs to have her accessories and her dresses, but man can she rival her brother in a wrestling match. She’s the best mix of tomboy and girly girl I’ve ever met.
Jocelyn, my 4yo princess. She’s definitely the baby, and has the volume to make sure she’s heard over everyone else in our family! I call her minnie mouse, she has such a loud girly voice. She’s emerging into her own little person daily, that sassy attitude that usually accompanies any good woman has sprung! She’s very tender hearted though, loves to snuggle with us and is fascinated with barbies and dollhouses. She’s very girly, and like her big sister, loves accessories. She’s also a little mother, constantly making sure everyone is taken care of and adores babyies (real or fake!). She’ll enter her 2nd year of preschool this fall and I’m excited to see how quickly she continues to learn and develop academically. Even though she’s getting bigger, she’ll always be my “lil miss”.
Matt and I are good too, if you were wondering:) We’ve made it through nine fabulous years of marriage and still goin strong. He’s still working with designing and likes it. He makes plenty of time for his family and is an awesome father/husband. I’m continuing life as a stay at home mom, loving it most of the time… as you’ve read, my kids are at the ages where I constantly have my hands full! I’m also continuing to grow with my photography, starting to figure out where I’d like to specialize, I’m sure you’ll figure it out soon enough! I am working on putting together some “just for me” shoots… where I can put my creativity and ideas into play just for the sake of growing. I can’t wait to share them, they will start hitting the blog later this fall:)
Now, enough boring you! Bravo if you read all this, thanks for caring about what my family is up too and I apologize for not sharing about them more. That will change, I promise! It’s the biggest adventure in my life and I plan to share that with the world! On to the pictures! There are lots, but I’ll share my favorites that will soon be making their debut in large sizes on my walls.
Thanks again Kerri, you are such an awesome person and I value every minute I get to have you in my life both on a personal and proffessional level. It’s nice to have a friend that helps remind us that the little things matter as much as the big and that we’re never alone in the crazy that comes with being mom/wife/friend. I *heart* you and I hope you know it:)

Amy + Joe, together
Amy contacted me awhile ago because she wanted to get pictures with her special someone. We had to reschedule half a dozen times for various reasons, but we finally had the chance to do their session this past weekend. There was lots of laughs and lots and lots of pictures! They were pretty much game for anything and they wanted to get some pictures with their bike, since it’s a pastime they share together. Definitely a first for me, but the photo’s turned out really fun… makes me *almost* wish we had one! Thanks Amy and Joe for spending the afternoon with me, I hope you enjoy your photo’s! There are many more where these came from:)
